Description
The Petalus PTR trommel series are mechanical screening machines for separating materials by size. In the recycling industry they are mainly used to get rid of waste and other unwanted elements from the incoming material.
It consists of a perforated horizontal cylindrical rotative drum with integrated spirals for pushing material. Physical size separation is achieved as the feed material spirals forward the rotating drum, where the undersized material smaller than the screen holes passes through the screen, while the oversized material exits at the other end of the drum and continue the recycling process.
There is a conveyor belt installed under the drum, that collects and transports the waste to a storage device.
